October 14th at the WAC - Rick Steves, Travel Guide and Writer, Bringing a European Perspective to America’s War on Marijuana

Rick Steves has requested that we urge our members to watch a video before our meeting next Tuesday to familiarize ourselves with the state of marijuana laws in the United States, so that then he will be able to talk primarily about how marijuana use is regulated in European countries. Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteers Needed – October 31st

Please help us glean fresh produce for children and families with limited access to fruits and vegetables. The Harvest Against Hunger, a project of Rotary First Harvest and Solid Ground, needs volunteers on October 31st from 10am to 2:30pm in Snohomish. Stocker Farms in Snohomish has donated unharvested carrots, beets, and parsnips (up to one thousand pounds!) that must be gleaned. With your help, the Harvest Against Hunger project can harvest these vegetables and deliver them to the local food bank. To volunteer, please call Patrick Green at (206) 694-6826.
