Info and Sign-up CLICK HERE (or on Golf tab at left)

GOLF and raising money for the kids! However this year – we have a NEW TWIST (almost like Oprah!) that will pull in Non-Golfers and those who can’t attend! Read to the end……

But first for the standard tournament – even if you are not a golfer – we do need your help with sponsors and with inviting non-club golfers to join us.

To help you out with inviting friends and colleagues to either join us for golf – or consider a sponsorship opportunity – or both – view and/or download the two forms (WORD Doc files) below.

ECR Golf Tournament Invite; - a single invitation

Emerald City Rotary up Classic Sponsorship & Golf Opportunities - A separate list of opportunities of how one may participate and if not participating – can contribute to the cause to ensure our fund-raiser is a success. Select from $25 Bogie; $50 Par; $100 Birdie or $200 Eagle donations and of course – a blank to write an alternate amount. – available for all parties. This is sort of like the “raise your paddles to support the cause” that is done at auctions to ensure everyone gets a chance to support the cause. (note any of these will be applied to the New Twist game – read on)

Please send the invitation to everyone you think might have any interest and please forward the sponsorship opportunity list to all those who you think would consider it a value to promote their business with some excellent exposure while also supporting our Club’s cause.

This will only take a few moments and will really help us out. Even if you are not a golfer and/or won’t be able to attend – your passing this along could be a really big help!

Now for the TWIST!

There is a 3rd document to view/download called “ECR Foursome Challenge Cup”. This is new fun game that is organized using golf principles – but NO actual golfing! Everyone can play! You will collect donation pledges for par’s, birdies and hopefully eagles and maybe even double eagles as you and three others of your foursome (singles will be paired up!) compete for the “best ball scramble low net”; “high gross” and strive to get a hole in one. I think everyone can have fun with this game and we can raise some real money too! The details are explained on the attached – but here’s how easy and powerful this can be for us!

A foursome needs to collect 18 pledges to fill the score card. That is an average of less than 5 per person! Even Art has at least that many friends!

Of course – with the “high-gross” and the ability to combine “$25 Bogie” donations to make a “$50 Par” – all team members will not want to limit their collected pledges to the minimum as they can lower their score the more pledges they get and compete for the “high gross” awards.

The beauty of this is while all the Emerald City Rotary Cup players will be invited to participate by default – it is NOT limited to them. So all the Non-Golfers can play too! (And will be highly encouraged to do so). And it is very possible that we could have enough “non-golfers” to make up for outside foursomes who may register the day of the tournament and not be able to fill a Foursome Challenge Cup scorecard.

Our Goal is to fill 18 scorecards! If we do this – and we average “Par” golf ….we’ll raise an additional $16,000 with this game!! This may be challenge – but it is really quite doable – if we all get behind this and have office mates, friends and family sign up for a hole. No amount is too little to pledge! Of course if we get some Birdie and Eagle holes covered for each foursome – we’ll do much better!

Here’s to a great spring fund raising season capped off by a great day of golf, fellowship and camaraderie!
