Project Summary 7 Years as a Rotary District Project

Projects:

  1. Spring 1998,  Emerald City Rotary and a Garfield High School teacher and students took 6 rebuilt computers to 1 School in Colima Mexico,
  2. Spring 1999, Emerald City Rotary and a Garfield High School teacher students took 10 computers, to 1 School in Colima, Mexico
  3. Summer 1999, Emerald City Rotary and Ballad Rotary with a Garfield High School teacher and students took Gatchina, Russia, Emerald 31 computers, Garfield High School to 1 School and 1 Orphanage
  4. Fall 1999, Emerald City Rotary with a Garfield High School teacher and students took to Maputo Mozambique, a 105 computers, to 2 Universities

5.     Summer 2000, Emerald City Rotary with Garfield High School students took to Saratov and Balashov, Russia, 100 computers to 2 Schools

6.     Winter 2001, University Rotary with a Garfield High School teacher and students took to Guatemala City, Guatemala, 50 Computers to 2 Schools

7.     Winter 2001 University Rotary Garfield High School students took to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, , 25 Computers,  to 1 School and 1 Library

8.     Summer 2001, West Seattle Rotary with Garfield High School students took 50 Computers to 5 Schools in Nasugbu, Philippines,

9.     Winter 2002 Emerald City Rotary with Garfield High School teacher and students took to Georgetown, The Gambia, Emerald City Rotary, 60 computers, Garfield High School to 2 schools

10.   Summer 2002, Rush Hour and North Seattle Rotary with a Garfield High School teacher and students took 50 Computers, Garfield High School to 9 Orphanages in Lodz Poland

11.   Summer 2002, Ballard and Federal Way Rotary with a Ballard High School teacher and students took 50 computers, to 2 Schools in San Ignacio Cayo, Belize,

12.   Winter 2003 Emerald City Rotary with a Garfield High School teacher and students took 150 Computers to 3 Schools and Orphanages in Salem, India,

13.   Spring 2003, Issaquah and Kirkland Rotaries with a Garfield High School teacher and students took 120 Computers to 2 Schools and 2 Community Centers on the Navajo Reservation, New Mexico

14.   Summer 2003, Emerald City Rotary with a Garfield High School teacher and students took 30 computers, to 1 School and 1 Orphanage in St. Petersburg, Russia,

15.   Summer 2003, Snoqualmie, Mercer Island and North Seattle Rotary with Mt. Si and Forest Ridge High School students and teachers, took 60 Computers, to 4 Schools in Masaka District, Uganda

  1. Summer 2003,  Emerald City Rotary, Seattle Four, Des Monies and Ballard Rotaries with Ballard High School teacher and students took to Tbilisi, Georgia took 20 Computers + 10 in 2005 & set up  World Computer Exchange computers,  to 2 Schools and 2 Orphanages
  2. 2003, Edmonds Rotary took 50 computers to 5 schools and libraries in South Africa
  3. Winter 2004, Emerald City, Bellevue Lunch Rotary with Garfield High School teacher and students took to 100 Computers to 3 Schools and Orphanages in Katmandu, Nepal
  4. June 2004, Mercer Island, Snoqualmie Valley  Sammamish Rotaries with Mt. Si, Forest Ridge, Skyline High Schools took 70 computers, to 4 Schools in Uganda
  5. June 2004, Ballard Rotary with Ballard High School teacher and students took 100 Computers, to 2 Schools in Belize
  6. October 2004, Federal Way, Federal Way Sunrise, Des Monies Rotaries with Truman High School took 100 Computers  to 12 schools in Namibia
  7. Spring 2005, Bellevue Breakfast Rotary with Newport High School  and  Bellevue High Students, 114 Computers to 10 schools in Slovakia
  8. Spring 2005, Emerald City Rotary with Cleveland High School teacher and students took to Dominican Republic, Emerald City Rotary, 130 Computers, to 15 Schools on medical clinic
  9. June 2005, Mercer Island, Snoqualmie Valley, with Sammamish, Mt. Si, Forest Ridge, Skyline and Issaquah High School students and teachers took 140 computers to 4 Schools in Uganda
  10. 2005 Kirkland Rotary with Ballard High School teacher and students took 160 Computers, to 3 Schools in Fiji
  11. 2006 Bellevue Breakfast Rotary with Newport High School  and  Bellevue High Students, 2nd project, 150 Computers to 10 schools community centers and hospitals in Slovakia
  12. June 2006, Sammamish, Mercer Island, Snoqualmie Valley Rotaries, with Sammamish, Mt. Si, Forest Ridge, Skyline and Issaquah High School students and teachers took 140 computers to 4 Schools in Uganda
  13. June 2006, Sammamish, 34 Computers to Guatemala
  14. June 2006, Uruguay, Ballard and Edmonds  Rotary

For a Total of 29 projects in over 100 Locations providing technology for over 100,000 a students World Wide

C4w’s Recipient Schools and Orphanages: 2 schools in Mexico, 4 Schools & 2 orphanages  in Russia, 2 universities in Mozambique,  2 schools in Guatemala, 1 university and 1 Library in Ethiopia, 5 schools in Philippines, 2 schools  in Gambia, 9 orphanages in Poland, 3 schools in Belize, 5 locations in South Africa,3 orphanages & schools in India, 2 schools, 1 dorm & 1 Boys and Girls Club on the Navajo Reservation, 12 schools in Uganda, 2 schools, 2 orphanages in Georgia, 3 schools in Nepal, 12 schools in Namibia, 15 schools, 1 medical clinic in the Dominican Republic,  20 schools, community centers medical facilities in Slovakia, 3 schools in Fiji.  A Total of over 100 locations worldwide providing over 100,000 students around the world with technology, with 19 local Rotary Clubs in District 5030 having taken part in the program

Projects for 2005-2006 Rotary Year: Dominican Republic, Emerald City Rotary,

C4W – Dominican Republic

This project is a partnership with the Rotary Club of Emerald City and the Rotary Club of San Pedro de Macoris.

We will provide internet connections and peripherals for these nine schools – Tecnocentro IDP/PRODINA in Santo Domingo. In San Pedro de Macoris we will be working with these additional public schools: Juan Dolio, Montecristi and Guyacamas and Centro Educative IDP. As well as Centro para el Desarrollo Integral Arras, Colegio Evangelico la Trinidad, Centro de Desarrollo Integral and Colegio Bautista Dominicana in Hato Mayor.

The beneficiaries of this project are over 100 students in each of these of these nine schools and their teachers and also advance theirs schools technical curriculums. This project will be completed within one week of equipment arrival.  Grant Details (PDF)
